Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains how CardForecast Premium subscriptions are billed, how to cancel one, and when a refund is and is not available. It forms part of our Terms of Use, and is written to be read alongside Section 6 of those Terms.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to paid CardForecast Premium subscriptions purchased through cardforecast.com. Browsing prices, price history, graded values, and card data without an account is free, and nothing in this policy applies to free use of the Service.

2. Billing and auto-renewal

  • Premium is offered on a monthly or yearly plan and is billed in advance for the period ahead.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, until you cancel. Renewals are charged to the payment method on file.
  • All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Charges appear on your statement under our Stripe billing descriptor.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

3. How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, and you never need to contact us to do it:

  • Sign in and go to your account, then choose Manage billing. This opens the secure Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel, update your card, or download past invoices.
  • Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep full Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again after that.
  • Cancelling does not delete your account. Your login, profile, and saved data remain, and you simply return to the free plan when the paid period ends.

4. Refunds

Except where this policy or applicable law says otherwise, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated. Because cancelling always leaves your access running to the end of the period you paid for, cancellation and refund are separate things: cancelling is immediate and free, but it does not return money already charged for the current period.

We will, however, issue a refund in the following cases:

  • Billing errors. Duplicate charges, a charge after a valid cancellation, or a charge for an amount other than the advertised plan price are refunded in full.
  • Unauthorised charges. If someone used your payment method without permission, contact us and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.
  • Extended unavailability. If Premium features are substantially unavailable for a prolonged period due to a fault on our side, we may refund or credit the affected time.
  • Statutory rights. Where consumer law in your country gives you a right to a refund, that right applies regardless of anything else in this policy. See Section 6.

Beyond these cases we may still grant a refund or account credit at our discretion, for example shortly after an accidental renewal on an account with no meaningful usage in the new period. Discretionary refunds are decided case by case and granting one does not oblige us to grant another.

5. Deleting your account while subscribed

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling, and it is the one action that forfeits time you have paid for. If you delete your account while a subscription is active:

  • your subscription is cancelled immediately, not at the end of the period;
  • you will not be billed again;
  • the remainder of the current billing period is not refunded, because deleting the account permanently removes the access it would otherwise pay for;
  • your account, profile, and saved data are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

This is stated again on the deletion screen before you confirm, and in the confirmation email we send afterwards. If you only want to stop future payments, cancel through Manage billing instead and use the access you have already paid for.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law. CardForecast is operated from the United Kingdom, so UK consumers have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and consumers elsewhere keep any equivalent right their own law provides.

Because a subscription gives you access straight away, you are asked to agree at checkout that the service begins immediately. Where you cancel within those 14 days, we refund what you paid less a proportionate amount for the period you already had access to, which is what the Regulations allow. If you never used the Service during that window, we refund it in full.

7. Failed and late payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe automatically retries it over the following days and we email you so you can update your card. Premium access continues during that retry window. If the payment ultimately cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free plan. No charge is owed for a period we were unable to collect.

8. Price changes

If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will give you reasonable advance notice by email so you can cancel first if you prefer. Price changes are never applied retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

9. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. We can usually resolve it faster and directly. Opening a chargeback may result in the account being suspended while the dispute is handled by the payment provider.

10. How to request a refund

Email contact@cardforecast.com from the address on your account, and include the approximate date of the charge and the reason for the request. Signed-in users can also use the contact support form. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
